Mallorca is a paradise for paddle surfing: turquoise coves, cliffs, caves and kilometres of sheltered coast. This guide gathers the best paddle surf routes in Mallorca organised by area, so you can choose based on where you are and your level.

Bay of Palma (Can Pastilla)

Our base and the best starting point for beginners. Sheltered water and direct access to the sea. Recommended routes: out to Isla de la Galera (short and pretty), along the coast towards El Molinar, or south towards Cala Blava and the Cap Blanc cliffs for a half day. Ideal for beginners near the shore and for calm crossings.

North: Bay of Pollença and Alcúdia

Very flat, sheltered water, perfect at sunrise. The Bay of Pollença lets you paddle long distances in calm conditions; from Alcúdia you reach quiet spots and sandy beaches. One of the best areas for families and for long, swell-free routes.

South and southeast: coves and caves

The south of the island hides postcard coves ideal for exploring by SUP and snorkelling. Look for calm-sea days and set out early, before the afternoon Embat thermal breeze kicks in.

Serra de Tramuntana (for higher levels)

The west coast, with spectacular cliffs around Sóller and the Tramuntana, offers unique scenery but is more demanding: more open water and shifting wind. Reserved for experienced paddlers and always with a good forecast.

Tips for your routes

Check the wind before leaving (an offshore Embat can carry you out), bring water and sun protection, use a leash and tell someone your route. If unsure about safety or gear, first read our guide to paddle surfing in Mallorca.
